It all starts with a cup of tea!!
The idea of Windsor Mobile tech came about when its founder Mike Smith sat in his local church café one Friday morning for a cup of tea and a piece of cake and was inundated by people asking for his advice regarding their computers and phones. This then turned into a regular Friday morning where people would bring in their broken items and Mike would fix them for free if he could.
On talking to the people in the café they were explaining that they cannot always get to shops as they are elderly, disabled, vulnerable or have young children and it would be nice to have somebody come to their house- and voila- Windsor Mobile Tech went from drinking tea and eating cake in a local church to now being a company.

At the age of 8, Mike was given his first second hand computer. Being the inquisitive child he was, he wanted to know how it worked. He took his dad's screw driver set and took it apart. Once apart the only problem was he didn't know how to put it back together again! Despite his best efforts and hoping his dad wouldn't find him, he put the computer back together and with anticipation he slowly turned the computer back on and BANG. He couldn't hide from his dad then!
Despite this (small) mishap and to his parents dismay, Mike continued to find computers, take them apart and put them back together again - until he got them correct and working.
From this, Mike's hobby turned into his career. Starting as a Junior Desktop Technician over 20 years ago to working in large businesses here and abroad in IT Support, Networking, Infrastructure and Cyber Security, to name a few.
